What kind of potato is this
The Tuleevsky variety was bred by domestic breeders specifically for growing in harsh Siberian conditions... It was named after the former head of the Kemerovo region A. Tuleyev, therefore it is sometimes called the governor's.
Origin and development
The variety was obtained as a result of crossing breeding samples Chernsky and Tolokan while maintaining the best taste characteristics. Potatoes were entered into the State Register of the Russian Federation in 2006.
Since then, it has gained a well-deserved reputation as an unpretentious crop suitable for cultivation on an industrial scale and in private gardens.

Potato bushes are compact, of medium height... The length of erect stems reaches 30–40 cm. The color of the leaves is predominantly dark, the leaf blade is even, with a slight waviness of the edge. Flowering of low intensity, corollas are large, white or yellowish. Berries are formed rarely and in small quantities.
Sami tubers of an oblong-oval shape with small eyes, even... The rind and flesh are yellow. The weight of one potato is 122–270 g. The taste is excellent. The starch content is 13.7-16.8%.
Marketable yield - 180-424 kg / ha (4-6 kg per bush). The maximum figure of 458 c / ha was obtained in the Omsk region.
How to grow
Unpretentiousness is the main advantage of Tuleevsky potatoes... Poor weather conditions, soil quality and a scant amount of moisture during the growing season do not prevent the emergence of friendly seedlings on the site. But it is important to observe some conditions when growing a crop.
On a note. Experienced summer residents noticed that it is better to plant potatoes during the period of mass flowering of dandelions. This happens when the ground is warm enough.
Timing, scheme and landing rules
When growing governor's potatoes, special attention is paid to pre-planting preparation. It includes several stages:
- Gardening of tubers. The seed is removed from the cellar and laid out on the ground during the day for greening the peel. This is done at an air temperature of + 13 ... + 15 ° C in the shade for 7-10 days.
- Prevention of nematode damage.Prepared tubers are sprayed with Prestige or Tabu solution twice with an interval of 5 days.
- Soaking in Epin solution to stimulate the growth of dormant eyes.
The soil for potatoes is prepared in the fall in the standard way.: the garden bed is dug to a depth of 30 cm, weeds are removed. The culture is planted according to the scheme of 50-60 cm between rows and 50-60 cm between holes. This "marking" is well suited for compact mid-season potato bushes. Depending on the quality of the soil, the tubers are buried 15–20 cm.

Care
