How to grow yourself

Buyan F1 cucumbers are easy to plant and care for. Them planted with seeds or seedlings in open or closed ground... The choice of planting method depends on the region. In the south of the country, the seed method is more often used, in the northern part, the seedling method.

Before planting in any way, the seeds are disinfected: they are kept for about 20 minutes in a solution of potassium permanganate, then placed in water at room temperature for a maximum of 5 hours.

Sowing seeds for seedlings and further care

Seeds for seedlings are sown in early May... Cucumbers have weak roots, so they do without picking. Small plastic or paper containers are suitable. They take special, garden land, with sawdust and humus. Before planting, the seeds are stored in a cloth moistened with water for 2-3 days until sprouts appear.

Then they are planted in cups to a depth of 1.5 cm, 2 pcs. The ground is watered and covered with foil. The optimum temperature is + 21 ... 24 ° С.

Further care

Watering cucumbers moderately, with warm, settled water, about 3-4 times a week, in hot weather - every day, after sunset. • infection of the plant with peronosporosis is possible, if for prevention it is not sprayed with an antifungal agent;
• so that the cucumbers do not dry out and rot, follow the watering rules.

Diseases and pests

Cucumbers are resistant to various kinds of infections. They are not afraid of powdery mildew, cladosporium, brown and olive spots, cucumber mosaic virus and other common diseases. But F1 Brawler sometimes amazes peronosporosis (downy mildew).

In this case spots of white, bluish or purple color appear on leaves and shoots... As a preventive measure, preliminary disinfection of the soil with potassium permanganate, compliance with crop rotation, and prevention of thickening helps.
