How to get seedlings?

Growing on a windowsill requires a stock of all the necessary materials such as:

• spray gun for processing seedlings;
• manganese and other antiseptics.

Seeds are sown in the first decade of April, and the seedlings are transferred to the beds after 1 month from the moment of germination. As a rule, seedlings appear after a week.

Seed preparation

Seed preparation includes such standard procedures as antiseptic treatment with potassium permanganate (1%) or another solution.

1. To prepare a manganese solution, you will need 200 ml of water and 2 g of pharmacy manganese in crystals.
2. Next, the seeds are generously washed with clean water and allowed to rest, dry for half an hour.
3. A hormonal-based growth stimulator will help speed up the ripening process for another 4-5 days. It happens that manufacturers themselves treat them with stimulants, then the seeds are brightly colored and do not need additional nutrition.
4. After all this, they are again properly dried and removed completely (for a day) in a container with warm non-chlorinated water until they swell.

Important! To prevent the seeds from floating and drying, they are also covered with cloth or wrapped in a gauze bag. On the second day, you can already plant, although some wait another day or two before the sprouts appear.

Capacity and soil

Betta tomatoes love loose and fertile soil. The soil should be heavy and loamy.Wood ash, mineral fertilizers are added in advance, 1/2 part of sand per 10 kg of earth and, if desired, non-acid peat (ph 6.5) can be added.

Plants are not capricious to the composition of the soil, the seedlings are easily adaptable and do not require special care. The capacity can be general and individual for each seed (glass up to 100 ml), shallow, up to 15 cm high.

Two weeks later, the first true leaves appear, which means it's time to dive and transplant seedlings in a larger container. Moreover, they can be additionally fed with complex fertilizer.

Sowing

1. It is not necessary to deeply deepen the seeds (1 cm is enough), but make sure that they do not come to the surface in the process. For this, the earth is quietly tamped over the seed.
2. The distance between the seeds is 2 cm.
3. The container is covered with polyethylene and left at a temperature of 20-25 C for several (up to 5) days. The main thing is that the seeds do not ferment, watch the moisture carefully.

What kind of care is needed?

Water with moderately purified and warm water, there must be drain holes at the bottom so that excess moisture can drain and air circulate well. Seedlings are strong, almost always take root well.

After the emergence of seedlings, the film is removed, the temperature is lowered to 16 C. And after a week, the Betta hybrid will also have to be illuminated for 16 hours in March and April. Hardening is recommended two weeks in advance, although it is not necessary for the Betta variety. To do this, the seedlings are taken out into the open air, first for a couple of hours, then more, at the end they can be left overnight.

How to grow tomatoes?

In the last days of May - early June, the seedlings are transferred to the ground. At this point, the age of tomatoes from the moment of seed germination is about a month. The main condition is that the soil must be warmed up in the daytime and at night to at least 15 C. The best time for transplanting is early morning or evening, the weather is better damp. Choose the sunniest place on the site.

Landing

Seedlings are planted in early May, when the plant reaches 30-35 days. In open ground, a bush density of 50X30 cm is allowed.

1. They are not planted very deeply because the roots are rather short.
2. As an antiseptic, ash and complex fertilizers are added to the holes.
